Dreamwidth account holders have the ability to edit/delete their comments. Keep in mind that if your original comment breaks the above rules of plagiarism or attacking other KM users, and you have edited it, I will freeze/screen/delete it regardless of what you've rewritten and if needed, will ban your account from the comm.

Would just like to remind everyone that asking/suggesting if enjoying a kink is 'bad' or 'makes me a bad person' is a soft form of kink shaming. This is the internet. A very short fill, because I love this idea. This assumes that trans* issues are not legally issues, but that transphobia still exists in Deluxe and possibly Motorcity as well. It also assumes that hormonal therapy hasn't improved a ton, mostly because I didn't want to get bogged down in medical issues and also that surgery is still required for a full transition.

Warnings for one transphobic comment, which includes a (deliberate) misuse of the phrase "transvestite."

Everyone sort of knows about Julie.

It was Kane who let her transition in the first place, when she was twelve and he sat her down and said, "Do you feel like a boy?"

And Julie (Jules, then, actually, not just as a nickname) had burst into tears and shook her head and her father had hugged her and said, "Okay." And then he'd gone and talked to the doctors and they'd started her one drugs and eventually she'd gotten bottom surgery, although she was waiting till she was sure she'd finished growing for top.

And everyone down in Motorcity knew too. Or, the Burners and Jacob did, at least, bits and pieces had slipped out until Chuck had put it all together and asked her about it, and she told them all the truth after that, and Texas had said, "Duh, you're a girl. Geez, Lisa."

Everyone had laughed, because Texas had said it best: she was a girl, even if her body was still figuring that out. And Julie appreciated that Texas thought it was obvious, that it wasn't some sort of surprise or change to him. Of course she was a girl. She was Julie (or Lisa, or Nancy, or Georgette, or Marie, depending on the day). She'd smiled gratefully at him, and said, "Thanks, Tex," and he'd grinned back, crooked and gratified, and bemusedly said, "Texas guesses you're welcome."

And that was that, until they were fighting some elites one day and Julie's shirt and bra had ripped, revealing that her bra was mostly empty of any real breast tissue, although she was developing some. The rest of her feminization was going pretty well, and she had been able to pass for a couple of years. But with her chest mostly revealed to the elites she and Texas had been fighting and the citizens of Motorcity they'd been rescuing, it was pretty obvious that she didn't have a biologically female chest (yet. Hopefully).

In hindsight, she could have used it better. Everyone stopped, and Texas unzipped his jumpsuit, yanked off the t-shirt he wore underneath, and gave it to Julie almost immediately. She'd pulled it on gratefully, and everyone was still staring. It would have been a great time to throw out a few clones and surprise the fuck out of them and beat the shit out of them and won. Texas would have gone along without saying anything--he loved to beat the shit out of people. He would have been fucking into it.

Then:

"Should have expected the Burners to have a fuckin' transvestite on their team," one of the elites snarled. Julie swallowed, her eyes burning, crossing her arms across her non-existent breasts.

"Hey!" Texas shouted. "Julie isn't a transvestite. She's a girl. If you have a problem with her kicking your ass, well, then, I'll be happy to punch it to the moon instead. Someone equal-opportunity can get their ass kicked by Julie."

It made Julie smile even as she was fighting tears of humiliation: the way Texas used her name, his fervent defense of her, his certainty that this wasn't going to scare her into hiding or running away, that she would still be there to beat up on some assholes same as he would. "I'm all in for some ass-kicking," she said, and stepped up next to Texas. "Who wants it?"

Spoiler alert: they kicked the elites' asses. All the way to the moon.
