General Rules

motorkink has zero tolerance towards prompts and comments containing personal attacks on other community users and private individuals, including bullying, kink shaming, and hate speech. Comments violating this rule will be deleted.

Dreamwidth FAQ: Why does my anonymous comment not display the way I want it to?
Dreamwidth account holders have the ability to edit/delete their comments. Keep in mind that if your original comment breaks the above rules of plagiarism or attacking other KM users, and you have edited it, I will freeze/screen/delete it regardless of what you've rewritten and if needed, will ban your account from the comm.
Character limit for dreamwidth comments is 16,000, which is roughly 3,200 words.

Would just like to remind everyone that asking/suggesting if enjoying a kink is 'bad' or 'makes me a bad person' is a soft form of kink shaming. This is the internet. It only surprised Chuck a little when Mike smiled brightly at him like nothing had happened. There was no sweet worded confession of love or awkward turning down of said confession because Chuck liked Mike as a friend. He was sorry, he really was, because it's not like Mike wasn't great and hey you'll find a boyfriend someday. Who knows maybe you'll find one who doesn't even scream, ha ha ha!

Being from Deluxe meant that Mike had been schooled to lie to himself and others about his feelings. There was probably a whole class that taught little children how to smile just right and say "Everything's Fine" even when it wasn't.

Chuck was relieved in a way. His friendship with Mike was probably the best thing that had ever happened to him and he didn't want to loose it. He didn't wanna change it either.

So Mike continued to encourage Chuck to pursue Claire when she was around while he'd sneak off every now and again to have sex with Rayon. Chuck had felt a weird twist in his stomach when he discovered what these random "meetings" with Rayon consisted of. Because ew Mike, Rayon is almost thirty and yeah he's hot sure, but-wait, what the hell was that?

Okay if you threatened Chuck with tickling he'd be willing to admit he thought guys were attractive too, but that didn't mean he wanted to date everybody. Geez, it would be like assuming Mike and Julie were an item can't two people who have the potential to be attracted to each other just be friends?!

Mike didn't press the issue with him though. He was a good guy like that. And things continued on as they had before until Chuck had finally worked up the nerve to tell Claire how he honestly felt.

"You probably think I just like you because you're pretty and you are super pretty! I'm not gonna pretend you're not or anything, but um," Chuck cleared his throat. Courage Chuck. "I just that you're so amazing and confidence and you're a great friend to Julie cuz you don't like it down here, but you come down here anyway. I mean...I really like you. A lot."

Claire sighed. "That's really sweet, Chuck. And you're a great guy, but" Oh. Oh ouch. This was gonna sting. "I don't really think we're compatible. Like, I totes wanna stay friends and all. I just can't see an Us. You know?"

Chuck had nodded. That wasn't so terrible. Hell she was more eloquent than he had been when Mike had...was this what Mike had felt when Chuck rejected him? Sure he wasn't going to wallow in a pit of despair, but it still hurt.

"Hey, buck up pal. At least you finally told her how you feel." Mike had thrown an arm around him after the fact.

"Yeah. I guess so." Chuck smiled weakly at him.

It was a month or so later when Mike had nearly gotten himself killed. Not the usually near death experience thing though. He had pushed Mutt and himself so hard that he'd yanked Chuck's ejector seat lever so that the blond wouldn't get hurt.

Hell that was the only reason Chuck was standing outside his room with tears in his eyes. He glared at Mike when he was finally allowed inside. The brunet was wrapped in bandages, there were tubes up his nose, and when he smiled he revealed a couple missing teeth. Mike hadn't come out unscathed, but he'd come out thankfully alive.

"You stupid-" Chuck began before crying again. Damn it all, he thought he'd done all his crying outside!

"Relax Chuckles. In a few months I'll be fine."

"No Mikey! You almost got yourself killed for real this time! You are so lucky you know that!" Chuck screamed. Hot tears streaked down his face and everyone could probably hear him, but he didn't care anymore.

"Chuck-"

"You can't die! It's not allowed! I love you too much to loose you!"

Mike's weary smile faltered. "Chuck...did you just say what I think you just said?"

Chuck leaned down and gently kissed him. "Mikey, I'm sorry, I just...damn it."

"Don't do this, Chuck. You're tired, it's been a long day-"

"Mike, I love you." Chuck have loved him for a long time. He just hadn't realized it.

"Do you really mean it?" Mike sounded choked like he'd been hoping beyond hope that Chuck would feel this way about him. Were all those nights with Rayon just a place holder for Chuck?"

"Yeah." Chuck kissed him again. His breathing steadied when Mike reached up with his less injured arm to stroke his hair.
